SURE-EU (Sustainable Resources Verification Scheme) is one of the European Commission's recognised voluntary certification schemes for demonstrating compliance with the sustainability and greenhouse gas (GHG) emission saving requirements of the Renewable Energy Directive (RED III). It enables companies throughout the biomass supply chain to verify that biomass used for energy production originates from sustainable sources and meets all applicable regulatory requirements.

STEP UP Certification is an approved SURE-EU certification body providing independent certification services to organizations involved in the production, processing, trading, storage and use of sustainable biomass.
