RED Compliance
STEP UP Certification provides independent verification of biomass sustainability and greenhouse gas (GHG) emission saving requirements in accordance with RED III and applicable national legislation, including operator schemes established under national regulatory requirements.
The assessment includes:

biomass supply chain traceability;

mass balance systems;

sustainability criteria compliance;

GHG emission saving requirements;
-
supplier documentation and supporting evidence.
The service is intended for operators using forest and agricultural biomass for heat, electricity, or cogeneration production and seeking independent verification of compliance with RED III sustainability requirements.
Upon successful completion of the assessment, a verification report and verification statement are issued.
